New Hope
For Disabled

Restore and bring new hope to the disabled and disadvantaged. These efforts originate from endless love from the United States to the people of Uzbekistan and other surrounding countries.

ABOUT US

How we started in Uzbekistan

In 1994, a vision of providing modern prosthetic for disabled Uzbeks started in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.  Today, this non-profit organization has grown from this vision to being the only provider of modern artificial legs and braces in a country of 35 million people. These prosthetic devices and other supplies are given free of charge.

WHAT WE DO

Prosthetic Manufacture

New Hope’s main purpose is the manufacture of donated prosthetic devices to the disabled individual’s specifications. They have an up to-date workshop on site with the tools they need to make prosthetics and braces, and a large physical therapy room so that the patients can learn how to use the devices correctly. Several full-time technicians assist in these vital tasks.

Vocational School

The prosthetic devices give the patients the ability to walk, but New Hope goes a step further by offering them the opportunities for better lives by teaching them vocation skills such as English or Korean language and computer training.

Future Visions

New Hope has ambitious plans for future programs to improve the lives of needy people of all ages in Uzbekistan and surrounding countries.

Future plans include:

  • Start an orphanage center for children, including those with physical disabilities.

  • Establish an oriental medical clinic at the Tashkent facility.

  • Establish a school to train prosthetic technicians who can use their new skills to make and fit prosthetic devices for disabled people in Uzbekistan and other surrounding countries.
